Re: Docu-drama about schizophrenia

Steve , I had seen that ADHD video before, it's part of a DVD I have called Psychiatry, Industry of Death made by CCHR. It had quite some disturbing images and a bunch of sensible people commenting on psychiatry, though maybe the whole presentation was a bit too sensational, with lots of dramatic m...

Re: Deep Feeling Therapy: Healing Emotional Pain

I suppose such videos are great examples of the importance of the effect of deep release of anger, having it connected to the original cause. Paul Hannig is also smart enough not to call it Primal Therapy (he calls it: Transcendent Feeling Therapy), to avoid all the controversies it created, which h...

Re: Stuck

Hi Bernard, nice to see you back. I know some people come here and only argue it seems, but it’s unavoidable. But I hope some people get some more out of this place... I’m not lecturing Daniel what to feel or when to feel, I emphasize the importance of feeling. It’s up to him how and when and I trie...

Re: Stuck

It looks like you've reached rock bottom, Daniel. Of course it's okay to say that you're tired and feel like dying. Because you have that feeling for such a long time, this forum probably won't turn that around instantly. I know it probably feels like it's too much for you but no one forces you to g...

Re: Docu-drama about schizophrenia

I had never heard of the Rosenhan experiments either and they were quite revealing. Shouldn't that have Psychiatry closed down permanently? Psychiatry was never about curing people, but about controlling people. It always was and always will be. The Birth of modern Psychiatry videos were very good. ...

Re: Stuck

What healthier people? As far as I can see, the best chance to find people who would let me express harsh repressed emotions are people who are involved in some sort of regressive therapy themselves. This is an important issue you raise here. What I think goes on in situations like that, is that th...

Re: Docu-drama about schizophrenia

Just a few quick words from me. I'll make the Summerhill BBC drama series available in the film club next month, as well as the Summerhill documentary Lloyd referred to. I've seen both, and it put a smile on my face, knowing that resistance is NOT futile. Thanks again, Lloyd, for pointing me to thes...

Re: Docu-drama about schizophrenia

Interesting story and good that it got publicity. Is there a way to see this documentary somewhere? I also liked Rufus May's website. Lots of interesting articles there...

Thanks Clare, for giving it attention here.

Re: Stuck

Though in sharing, alas, we do interact and take responsibility for others, and there are certain burdens (and reciprocity) involved. The term 'buddy session' comes from 'primal groups' that are often founded on toxic beliefs. Let's get back to the topic of your posts and your statement that your e...

Re: Stuck

And what does it say about the rest of the people who DON'T say anything? The term 'hang in there' is a term from the poisonous pedagogy . As if things just disappear if you wait or struggle long enough. To me that's much more insensitive than my replies. I don't pretend that I'm responsible for ano...

Re: Stuck

So, if I understood you right, you want a person that visits or call you in person, who will keep telling you that it's okay what you feel when feeling repressed pain. This forum only has a handful of members, so coming in here and demanding the help of a person is a struggle destined to lose. If yo...

Re: Stuck

People in PT don't like it when the person with whom they are working is bringing up issues they rather not deal with. ...they should serve as a sentry while a person turns his attention inwards, a listening, friendly ear, a guide of sorts, motivating the patient to keep facing pain and feeling it,...

Re: Stuck

I've met many therapists who didn't, with whom I couldn't work. Also many patients..... Are you a therapist yourself? The unbearable truth that a parent has hurt a child's needs, will last a lifetime if you keep looking for replacement parents to fulfill the needs you had as a child. And because th...

Re: Stuck

Hi Harigata, Welcome to the forum. I'm curious what you see as a success when it comes to primaling alone. What do you experience as an obstacle in your present life and how do you know any new person that offers help, will not be negative and non-supportive? Is Alice Miller's How to find the right ...

Re: Sinead or ?

That was a funny trailer with Mick Jagger. Probably it was not meant funny but now I know where George Lucas found his Luke Skywalker. As if losing our hair isn't enough, we also have to lose our teeth... I should have brushed my hair when I still had the chance... Cold Blue Steel (and Sweet Fire) b...
