Seventy times seven

The film by Francesco Boschettiis is inspired by the work of Alice Miller, former psychoanalyst and author who dealt mainly with the psychology of childhood and the negative outcomes of abuse on children, especially within the family, cause in the process of growing up and during adulthood.

The protagonist is a young woman in search of that maternal love that she’s always been denied. Her refusal to deal with the violence that was inflicted on her by her mother during childhood and the moral obligation to forgive, unconsciously lead her to pour her own need for love on her seven year old daughter, caging her in a morbid and stifling relationship.
